Welcome to The Soundary, a sound production studio providing a wide variety of audio services for the creative media industry, musicians, bands and other artists. Based in Amsterdam, Wouter Verhulst founded The Soundary in 2018 to craft audio and music productions for advertising campaigns, podcast series and song or album recordings.
Wouter has been a professional drummer for over 25 years. He toured the world and released 10+ albums with different bands, which got him into the recording process. After obtaining his Sound Engineering Degree he advanced his skills in renowned studio's such as Big Orange Music and Studio De Keuken to eventually start his own. With Riad Abdel-Nabi he founded the Van Sonic Sound Collective and together they created multiple successful film scores. After a couple of productive years Wouter discovered that he wanted to focus more on the media and music industry. He started The Soundary and made it what it is today.
Wouter is a creative with a pragmatic approach. As a musician he is able to find the essence of every sound. This means that whether he is composing, mixing or mastering, he will always hear something special, unique and original to give the production exactly what it needs. Nothing more, nothing less.
The Soundary studio consists of a live-room big enough for a whole band, a dedicated voice-over corner, a control room and a relaxing-area, all equipped with mics, converters, pre-amps, DAW's, plug-ins and instruments of all kinds and times. This place makes everyone who works on commercials, podcasts or music projects feel at home as it breathes its goal: making everything sound as it good as it should.
